What Nightrush builds
The platform
Operating software on iOS, Android and the web. An operator posts a request, suppliers in the Nightrush network quote against it, and the deal closes inside the app.
The Nightrush index
A proprietary structured dataset on opening and running a venue in New Jersey: 44 categories, each built from graded sources with a per-municipality matrix, and checked by a validator before it counts.
The agents
AI agents for sourcing, specification, quote comparison, booking coordination and compliance checks. Bolt, the operations agent, answers operator questions from the index.
The rules, in the data
The index holds the New Jersey rule behind each task an operator runs, town by town, with the source for every line. Bolt answers from it. These are the rules that set New Jersey apart.
- Alcohol
- Retail consumption licences are capped by population, about one per 3,000 residents, and trade on a secondary market.
- Construction
- The Uniform Construction Code, with permits issued by each town's construction official.
- Fire
- The Uniform Fire Code, enforced by the local fire official on its own registration and inspection cycle.
- Food
- The Chapter 24 retail food code, enforced by the municipal or county health department. No letter grades.
- Zoning
- Municipal ordinances plus redevelopment plans, which govern much of the Jersey City waterfront.
- Labour
- New Jersey minimum wage, Earned Sick Leave, wage payment law, unemployment and temporary disability.
- Sales tax
- 6.625 percent on restaurant food and drink, everywhere in the state. In the eight Urban Enterprise Zone towns, a certified operator's own equipment and supply purchases are exempt, up to $100,000 a year.
